Meet Ilana.

I started Recast City in 2014 to work with local leaders to create great places that build energy, increase the number of good-paying jobs, fill our storefronts, and make people proud of where they're from. All by bringing small-scale manufacturing businesses to the forefront. My passion for great places grew out of working with big and small cities all over the country while leading the technical assistance program at the U.S. EPA Smart Growth Program, and as the Vice President & Chief of Staff at Smart Growth America. Now, I'm committed to creating more opportunity for more people in more places and to creating strong, inclusive, and resilient economies.
